Niseko UnitedHome > Information > Nearby Resorts - Niseko UnitedThis is the most popular resort in the Hokkaido area for international tourists. Niseko United can be accessed through Niseko Annupuri (part of Niseko United), only five minutes by shuttle bus. Areas included in Niseko United are Hanazono, Grand Hirafu, Higashiyama and Annupuri. Niseko United is made up of 57 runs consisting of 38 lifts and gondolas, totaling over 47 km in groomed slopes with the longest run being 5.6km. As well as the powder, the terrain offers a good mixture of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs, half-pipes, quarter pipes, table tops, mogul fields, powder tree runs and lots of natural hits to ensure everyone’s tastes are catered for. Lift facilities operate without rest for over 12 hours a day - starting at 8:30am and closing at 9:00pm. One of the highlights of the day is night skiing. The illuminated area is huge with fantastic visibility and is available every night of the week; even tree runs are accessible. A powder night session is a must experience! RusutsuHome > Information > Nearby Resorts - RusutsuSituated under 60 minutes from Niseko (depends on road conditions). Rusutsu resort is a must visit while in the area. Covering 1,700 hectares over 3 mountains: West Mountain – Located at the foot of the main resort. Runs are short and at times very challenging. Backcountry is accessible via a 20 minute hike along a steep ridge to several steep chutes and a multitude of tree lines. If you need a break from the powder and want to spend some time in the park and pipe this will get the juices flowing, with one of the few pipes in Japan under lights. East Mountain – Mainly used as an access point to get to Mt. Isola. Contains only two runs with a couple of secret lines that can be very worth while! Mt. Isola – Containing incredible natural terrain, endless possibilities for tree skiing and perfectly groomed piste runs, Mt. Isola is by far the best area within Rusutsu. It is not difficult to experience fresh runs all day long! On-piste or off, you will not be disappointed! |
