Mountain InformationHome > Information > Mountian InformationHokkaido is famous for its deep and perfect dry powder snow and Moiwa is no exception! Located only 15 minutes from Niseko, Moiwa is the perfect destination for quickly escaping the crowds and getting some powder runs all to yourself in a great friendly atmosphere. The terrain available at Moiwa is wide, varied and will keep everyone smiling, from un-groomed zones averaging 24degrees, SAJ (Ski Association of Japan) recongnised giant slalom courses to perfectly groomed open slopes that are perfect for the beginner. For the backcountry enthusiast, Moiwa also has plenty to offer with terrific runs from the peak that will drop you into some of the most spectacular tree terrain and allows you to absorb the beauty of the Moiwa area. No matter what you prefer, backcountry or groomers, Moiwa stays untracked days after the last snowfall! The weather in Hokkaido can be extremely cold and change very quickly. Although the Quad Lift that services the highest point in Moiwa has a protective hood to shelter you while you are on the lift, it is highly recommended that you come prepared with warm gloves, face mask and beanie. While enjoying your day at Moiwa Resort you can find everything you need at the Sanroku Centre Lodge; lift ticket and lesson information, changing room, restaurant, equipment rental, wireless LAN, pro shop, first-aid station, event schedule and registration. |
